Plates are intended for osteosynthesis of intra-articular and extra-articular fractures of the distal radius on the volar side. The aim of osteosynthesis is the reconstruction of the articular surface, stable fixation of fragments, and restoration of radial length and angle.

System of angularly stable plates on the distal radius

The set of implants for osteosynthesis of distal radial fractures contains plates and corresponding types and sizes of screws.

The angularly stable plate for the distal radius is equipped with lockable holes to attach the plate to the bone using locking bone screws and a standard oval opening. The properties of angularly stable plates also enable their effective use in poor quality and osteoporotic bones.

Plates are anatomically shaped to best mimic the shape of the regular bone.

The plates are equipped with two kinds of holes for the screws:
Oval hole is used for attaching the plate to the bone and possibly the correction of its position to the distal end of the radius. Only Ø 2.7 mm cortical screws with Ø 4 mm head should be used for this hole.
Locking holes are designed for angular stable Ø 2.4 and Ø 2.7 mm screws with Ø 3.5 mm head and used for fixation of fragments.
For temporary plate fixation or fixation of the fragments, use holes for Ø 1.5 mm K-wire.

The plates and screws are made of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V (ISO 5832-3).

Instrumentation for distal radial volar plates

Instrumentation is intended for fractures of distal radius. It is used for fracture reposition, introduction of the plate and to fix the screws.
